We are the only private practice housing solicitors to offer Legal Aid in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. We act for clients throughout Wiltshire (including Swindon and Salisbury), Gloucestershire, Somerset and beyond.
Where clients qualify for Legal Aid, we are able to represent them for free or at low cost in certain types of matters, namely possession (including mortgage), housing disrepair, homelessness, illegal eviction and some injunction and committal matters. We also represent defendants in possession matters (including mortgage) under the Legal Aid Court Duty Scheme (although we strongly recommend that clients contact us before the hearing date so that we can take full instructions).
The Legal Aid Agency recently assessed our work as Peer Review 2 (competence plus).
For those not eligible for Legal Aid, we offer an initial fixed-fee interview to discuss your needs and offer preliminary advice. Depending on the nature of your case, we will consider a conditional fee (‘no-win-no-fee’) arrangement. We also will consider bundling legal services to make them more affordable.
